My comment:
(a) The company web site (www.qinetiq.com) states Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety (DADSS) is in the developmental stages. In any event, it is not meant to replace breathalyzer, but stop a car owner from operating a car if he is determined to be drunk.
(b) If a driver refuses to take the breathalyzer test voluntarily, a warrant from a court is required to compel him to do so.
(c) In a similar vein, US Supreme Court ruled a warrant was necessary under Fouth Amendment to obtain fingerprints from a person without consent. Hayes v Florida, 470 U. S. 811 (1985).

(d) So a warrant will be required if law enforcement wants to use DADSS to measure blood alcohol level, when the technology is mature.
