Jeremy Page, Victim's Friends Doubt China Murder Details. Wall Street Journal, Aug 16, 2012.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB ... 90994261512450.html

Two consecutive paragraphs:

"Ms Gu suggested that the incident had occurred shortly before Mr. Heywood's death, telling the court, according to Xinhua: 'During those days last November, I suffered a mental breakdown after learning that my son was in jeopardy.'

"But Mr Heywood's friends disputed the timing of the alleged incident, since Mr. Heywood was in China in early November and Bo Guagua left Britain in 2010 to do a postgraduate degree at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.

My comment: Upon reading Xinhua's account of the murder days ago, I was suspicious of Beijing's story. Xinhua did not say when Mr Neil Heywood kidnapped Mr Bo Guagua in England. But to do that while Mr Heywood was in Beijing, the latter needed at least an accomplice in England. But most important, how could Mr Heywood have known Guagua's whereabouts in order to kidnap him. Mr Heywood and the Bos had been seldom in contact for years.
