Joe Palazzo, Michael Rothfeld amd Michael Siconolfi, Lawyer Warns Trump on Trusting Cohen. Wall Street Journal, Apr 19, 2018.

http://www.cetusnews.com/news/Co ... rump.SJwVoIS2z.html
Note:
(a) WSJ.com places the report behind paywall. It and Foxnews.com both belongs to News Corp owned by Rupert Murdoch.
(b) The print ends with this paragraph: "Prompted by the president for his advice, he also said he recommended Mr Trump fire Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general who appointed Mr. Mueller."
The online version has four more paragraphs after this.
(c) What is the motive of Mr Jay Goldberg summoning Wall Street Journal and giving an interview in his home? Why did he savage Trump's incumbent personal lawyer, Mr Michael Cohen (who might have had information against Trump already)? If this report is written by New York Times, I can understand that the goal is to 挑拨离间. But this is Wall Street Journal.
(d)
(i) Jay Goldberg (1933; a graduate of Harvard Law School, magna cum laude; assistant district attorney in New York County [Manhattan] right out of Harvard Law School; was appointed acting United States Attorney for the Northwestern District of Indiana, by appointment of then-Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy) en.wikipedia.org.
The problem with that last is there is/was no such thing as Northwestern District: In 1928, Congress split the Indiana district into two districts: northern and southern. On the other hand, Goldberg's legl pracxtice (see next) said he was acting US attorney for NORTHERN distriict of Indiana.
(ii) Jay Goldberg, PC
www.jaygoldberg.com
(address: "250 Park Avenue Suite 2020 New York, NY 10177-2099")
Judging from the address (a suite), one can tell he is a solo practitioner with a couple of paralegals.
(e) "Mr Goldberg, a former prosecutor who represented Mr Trump in divorce and real-estate matters * * * Speaking from his experience as a prosecutor, he said even hardened organized-crime figures flip under pressure from the government. 'The mob was broken by Sammy "The Bull" Gravano caving in out of the prospect of a jail sentence,' Mr Goldberg said."
(i)
(A) You read this and believe Mr Goldberg is Trump's current lawyer, because WSJ mentions in passing: "who represented Mr Trump in divorce and real-estate matters."
WSJ should have made it clear that Mr Goldberg was a former lawyer of Mr Trump, whose last legal representation of Trump might be more than two decades ago. See

("The legal eagle who represented Donald Trump in both of his blockbuster divorces")
Trump's marriage with Ivana Zelníčková ended in 1992 and with Marla Maples in 1999.
(B) Another report that retold this story makes this very clear:
