(At northeastern corner of Los Angeles County, Calif, "the base was renamed on December 8, 1949 in memory of U.S. Air Force test pilot Glen Edwards (1918-48)" who died on the job)

(1) laser target locator modules (LTLM)
News release: BAE System to Provide All-Weather, Day/Night Target System to US Army. BAE System, Aug. 10, 2009.

My comment: The device combined gadgets --and functions--of a binocular, camera, night vision, a laser range finder, a digital compass and GPS into one, besides detecting targets 4.7 km away in daytime long before an enemy sees you.
(2) I live in Boston. The same report that talks about the module further stated BAE also received order for "24-hour, all-weather visibility systems for operators of [US] Army and Marine Corps ground vehicles" called "driver’s vision enhancers."
Robert Weisman, Expanding vision to bolster troops; BAE Systems’ contracts to boost military targeting. Boston Globe, Aug. 11, 2009.

I can not find what it is or what it looks like.
(3) 台湾展示最新武器研发成果

My comment: The report states, "平可夫说,80 年代的台湾几乎成为相当优秀的军事强国,能够自产很多先进武器." Huh?
(4) a video clip of Micro Air Vehicle (MAV) of Honeywell
http://www.honeywell.com/sites/portal?smap=aerospace&page=mav_video&theme=T8
My comment:
(a) I just cannot figure out how it can fly.
(b) MAV is as big--and as noisy--as a lawn mower. Honeywell is working hard to silence it.
